PANTHER NEWS - KUHF/KUHA/KUHT Studios, Houston, Texas (November 5, 2012)

The PANTHER NEWS team traveled to the KUHF/KUHA/KUHT studios on the University of Houston campus to observe the television and radio stations' operations. Eric Ladau, Producer/Station Host toured the students through the Melcher Center for Public Broadcasting.

Houston Public Radio's news station is KUHF (88.7). It offers international, national, regional and local coverage from the KUHF Newsroom, NPR, the BBC, and American Public Media. The news station expands the breadth of local news, and gives voice to multiple perspectives. Houston Public Radio's classical music station is KUHA (91.7). It adds to the city's cultural community, offering 24/7 classical music. Area artists and cultural institutions are featured in regular concert broadcasts, including the Houston Symphony, Houston Grand Opera, Houston Ballet Orchestra, Moores.

KUHT (Houston PBS) is a Public Broadcasting Service member Public television station serving the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area, and it is the first public television station in the United States. The station is owned by and licensed to the University of Houston System.
